Anoush Pal

Anoush’s diverse educational background and clinical experience informs her integrative approach in providing clinical therapy services for adolescents and adults.  Her passion is working with parents and family members to help them support their children’s emotional developmental and behavioral needs. She is keenly interested in working with individuals diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Attachment needs, Depression and other Mood Disorders.  With a strong affinity for attachment and polyvagal theory, Anoush approaches her work with an understanding of the importance of deepening interpersonal relationships and developing secure attachments.

Anoush is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). She is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapist (C-DBT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman-Method Couples Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Theraplay (Level 2) and will soon be completing Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP).

Anoush is a professional trainer, certified to offer Crisis Prevention & Intervention training through the Crisis Prevention Institute to our team.  She also is certified to offer external training in Child Safeguarding (Cayman Islands Government), Cayman Islands Safe Management and Risk Reduction Training (C-SMARRT) (Cayman Islands Government), and Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary care with AED for adults and children.

Anoush’s background began in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis with a focus on early intervention and evidence-based autism interventions.  She attained Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2012, after working since 2009 in the field of Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) for children with autism and related developmental disorders through the Community Services for Autistic Adults and Children (CSAAC) and the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) in the United States.   In addition to her clinical experience in EIBI, she has specialized training in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM – Advanced level), DIR (Floortime) and Positive Behavior Supports (PBS).  She will soon be completing Intensive Interaction training.  She founded Cayman ABA in 2017, where she consults part time as a Clinical Case Manager.

Anoush has over 12 years experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and 5 years experience in Clinical Psychology & Counseling.   Anoush earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (2009) from the American University in Washington D.C. and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Autism Studies, from the University of Massachusetts (2011). She has earned lifetime membership with the International Honour Society in Psychology, PsiChi.  She has completed all required coursework for her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and is currently completing her Doctoral project in pursuit of her Doctor of Psychology degree (PsyD).  She works as a therapist at Infinite Mindcare and, under the supervision of Dr. Eleanor Oswald, is accruing supervised fieldwork towards attainment of her licensure as a doctoral-level Clinical Psychologist.
